Live Webcast Today --
Watch Farkas and MacKinnon at 4:00 EST

Walking the Talk... How will RexOffice impact the relationship between landlords and tenants? What new services will The Realm provide as it integrates its four major acquisitions -- ARGUS Financial Software, B.J. Murray, Inc., CTI Limited, and Newstar Solutions? How will the growth of new real estate dot-coms affect real estate service providers? Will the real estate industry adopt common data standards any time soon? For thoughts on these questions, tune in this afternoon as I interview Andrew Farkas, Founder of RexOffice, and Donald MacKinnon, CEO of The REALM, at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, October 23, 2000 (20:00 Universal Time) live from the PikeNet Expo in New York City.

To watch you'll need to install RealPlayer on your computer. Most of you will probably have this on your machine. But if you want to get it, step-by-step instructions can be found at PikeNet. On the home page go to Tech Tips Box / Web Related / Question #17. Of course, the video and sound quality will be better at broadband speeds (office networks, DSL, cable). But you should be able to get a pretty decent view at 56k.

To view the actual webcast click the LIVE WEBCAST hyperlink at the top of the PikeNet home page after 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, October 23. You'll need to register before logging on (but only with your name, company and e-mail address). The interviews will start at 4:00. But we'll begin broadcasting about thirty minutes before the event starts, so you'll see us milling around and getting set up. Sort of like being backstage. We'll have 500 streaming "channels" available, so it's first come, first serve. This should be a fun session and will demonstrate (I hope!) the advantages of real time interactivity on the net. After it's over, I'd love to hear your comments.

PikeNet Advertising... If you'd like to sponsor a future PikeNet Dispatch, send e-mail to me. I've got about a dozen issues available between now and the end of the year. For complete details, go to PikeNet / Advertising Info (left-side of home page) / Dispatch Sponsorship. Thank you!
