Video Reinforces Staubach Culture

The Power of Sight and Sound... What technology will best communicate your company's vision to clients and your workforce? Well, if you're the Staubach Company, video will play an important role. Want proof? Just watch the videos of their senior executives -- Roger Staubach, Elysia Ragusa, and Ka Cotter -- discussing the company's culture. (On Staubach's home page, click About Staubach / Leadership / Executive Testimonials.) There's no doubt that these short videos give you a much more visceral understanding of the firm's priorities than a glossy brochure.

Likewise, Staubach uses videos to communicate internally. This week I watched an internal video about the Staubach Mentor Program. President Elysia Ragusa described the benefits of matching senior and junior professionals (mentors and protégés) and announced the participants in this year's "class." Now Staubach's 1,100 professionals in 49 offices across the Americas can hear her voice and see her picture for two-and-a-half minutes. Is this more effective than an inter-office memo? Yep, it's got to be.

To make these videos as accessible as possible, Staubach uses CABC software running in the background to download the video file onto your desktop or laptop. A pop-up screen brings the new video to your attention and you can choose to view it then or later. Because the video file is now on your computer, you will not need to be connected to the Internet. (Full Disclosure: Roger is on the board of CABC.)

Betty Johnson, Staubach's Vice President of Communications, Marketing and Client Relations, believes that video reinforces personal relationships and builds rapport externally and internally. What do you think? What technology do you use to enhance client relationships?
