Nick Propps with Commercial Brokers in Bethesda, MD: "One of the recent devices I started using to improve my efficiency is a Nextel GPS cell phone. This one device has replaced my $1,000+ GPS navigation add-on in my car. It talks me everywhere [with voice instructions] and allows me to read the news while waiting for appointments. I can also research buyers/sellers instantly using the Internet capability. Not to mention that the direct connect [feature] allows me to stay in touch with staff like no ordinary cell phone ever did. I can also link my laptop to the cell phone and work from anywhere as if I were sitting in my office." Sam Thomas with Sperry Van Ness in Boston: "My cell phone delivers calls from anywhere in the country (at no charge to me) whether or not I am in Boston. My walkie-talkie feature keeps me in close contact with others who use the Nextel service and need to reach me quickly coast-to-coast. My PalmPilot keeps all my contact names and appointments organized, and it beeps me when I need to be reminded of something important. When I am near a WiFi service, I can check my e-mail messages while being on the cell phone talking with a client or friend or hosting a conference call. This is the reason I did not go with the Blackberry. I want the flexibility of talking while sending and receiving e-mail at the same time." Howard Applebaum with Corporate America Realty & Advisors in Rutherford, NJ: "In addition to utilizing T-Mobile Blackberries (Great Pricing), GPS in our automobiles, we also have a corporate intranet that allows our office to have company meetings amongst ourselves or with our clients anywhere, anytime without having to come to the office. In addition, we have Motorola Model V300 cell phones with Voice Recognition and Digital Cameras along with T-Mobile pricing. This is part of a package of wireless products that has been able to allow my company to start an expansion of our sales force, to stop wasting time and money on the highways, and to 'take the office to the golf course.'"
