Coaching: Take Your Game to the Next Level

Motivation, Vision, Execution... This concludes our coaching discussion thread: Do You Need a Coach? (Feb 22), RE Industry's Got Game (Feb 24) and RE Coaches Speak Out (Mar 3).

John Klymshyn at the Business Generator writes. "Since 2000, I have personally coached almost 200 brokers and managers across the US, and in Canada. My role as a coach is to help the individual get to their next level. This involves instruction, accountability, therapy, and encouragement."

Ginger Jenks at Magellan Enterprises writes. "Coaching is a highly customized form of learning and development. The coach is a sounding board who lends perspective, helps the client articulate possibility, galvanizes the client into action and holds them accountable through regular meetings. It's about pulling out of your everyday trees to mind the forest."

Peter Petrouski at Integrated Business Coaching in Chicago writes. "My coaching is designed around the issue the coachee brings to the table. Real estate coaching is most often performance coaching; however, depending on the coachee's concern it can also be transformational work. Coaching is a teaching conversation and, as the proverb goes, 'When the student is ready, the teacher shows up.'"

Tom Loeswick, who was an investment broker for 25 years in San Jose and is now a coach, writes. "I never lose sight of the fact that my clients will not be truly satisfied if we are just overcoming problems. My clients are ambitious. They want to take on ever increasing levels of opportunity that require that they experience personal growth and increased effectiveness on a regular basis. People can’t make use of new ideas or practices unless they 'own it' for themselves. The right coach can help you figure out what you want and how to 'own' the processes and practices that will get you there."

Ernest Oriente at PowerHour writes. "Our clients want more or less of something. For example...they want more free/family time, more money, more teamwork, more career opportunities, more awareness of their blind spots. Or....they want less hassle, less conflict, less work time, less burnout. We help them focus on their dreams/goals by taking weekly action while building a team around them--both professionally and personally."

Online Demo... Many thanks to this week's sponsor, RealCapitalMarkets, which offers online demonstrations of its Secure Virtual DealRoom by calling Kate Ritz at (866) 331-7261. I took the tour recently and was impressed. If you would like to tell Dispatch readers about your services, send e-mail or call me at 415-461-4703.
