Blogging the Mavericks, Boeing, GM ... and Real Estate

Authenticity and Attitude... Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, blogs candidly (!) at Blog Mavericks.

Randy Baseler, vice president of commercial airplanes at Boeing, blogs at the Boeing Blog, and Bob Lutz, General Motors' vice chairman, blogs at the GM FastLane Blog.

OK, CEO's don't. (CEOs refuse to get tangled up in messy blogs, USA Today, May 9, 2005) But, hey, where are all you real estate bloggers?

Last week's Dispatch Should You Publish a Real Estate Blog? (June 16) generated just a few leads. Topping the charts is the Commercial Real Estate Loans and Structured Finance blog, published by Pacific Security Capital in Beaverton (Portland), OR.

Mike Myatt at SPC writes, "Our blogging
effort has provided another channel through which we can communicate with our clients... We have had e-mails from people in Europe, Canada and all over the US who are frequenting the blog."

Coincidentally, there are two blogs covering Dallas real estate (because of Cuban?). Jon Moreau publishes the Lowdown on Uptown. Moreau is a broker at the Robert Lynn Company.

And Randall Turner publishes Downtown Dallas & Uptown Real Estate News. Turner's Harvard Realty is transitioning to Sperry Van Ness.

While not strictly commercial, Paul Formichelli with the Staubach Company pointed me to The Real Deal, which provides a blog-like news feed on the latest real estate happenings in New York City. ... So let me know when you launch your blog!
