In Your Dreams... Imagine that you run a corporate real estate department. Brokers, developers and property managers bombard you constantly with requests. Do you need to lease more space? Do you have anything for sale? Who's the right person to contact? Sounds like you need a good corporate real estate web site -- one that saves you the hassle of answering the phone and endlessly repeating your real estate mantra. Right? So who's got a good corporate site? Hmm. I think that it's a pretty short list. But here's one.
Now for an experiment. Can anyone find a real estate director listed on any Fortune 500 company web site? I poked around about a dozen and found nothing. Corporate real estate is AWOL from most company web sites. So here's a suggestion for CoreNet Global. Why not offer an award at your next U.S. Summit (Oct 23-26 in Las Vegas) for the best corporate real estate web site? What criteria do you think CoreNet should use? Do you have a favorite corporate real estate web site today? What have I missed? Blast away. I'll report back in a future Dispatch. -- Peter Pike |
