1. New and Notable... TN Real Estate is a fully searchable database of over 2.5 million properties in Tennessee with information that includes sales data, deed references, improvements, appraisal values and land descriptions. Compiled by KAL Software from publicly available county assessor records, this is truly one of the most interesting property resources available on the web today. American Electrical Power, which provides utility services in Ohio and other Midwestern states has assembled an interesting database of industrial buildings and land. Although it is searchable by square footage and location, property names and addresses can only be found by calling AEP directly.

Centennial, which provides real estate brokerage services in Nashville, Tennessee, has upgraded its site to include listings and research. Grubb & Ellis in Atlanta now some listing information at its site. CORIM manages property in the Southeast, including Atlanta, Savannah, Jacksonville and Nashville. The Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics seeks to apply financial and economic methodologies to real estate research.

2. Web Success... Jerry Bernie, a Global Real Estate Manager with VeriFone, based in Redwood City, California, needed to find more office space in Paris for one of his rapidly expanding development groups. Using PikeNet, he located several brokers in Paris and reviewed each company's research online to determine its strengths. He then sent an e-mail inquiry to the firm of his choice to lay the groundwork for his imminent space needs.

3. Oops... The Edward S. Gordon Company, LaSalle Partners and SIOR ran full or three quarters page advertisements in the September 16, 1996, issue of Commercial Property News without mentioning the URL for their web sites.

4. REA Winner. John Yatsco of Prudential Florida in St. Pete Beach won the drawing for the free copy of REA, the Real Estate Assistant personal information manager. Many thanks to Tim Creagh of REA, who invites you to visit REA's web site for more information.

5. PikeNet Changes... I added a Market Toolkit for Tampa Bay where I'll be speaking Monday morning at the annual NACORE Conference. Many thanks to Sean Broderick of Broderick Realty for assistance in compiling the data. This is one of our best Toolkits because the Tampa Bay Area has so many companies online.
