1. New and Notable... The Realty Connection NetWork is a service which seeks to improve the real estate transaction process. Members create "Electronic Closing Tables" where owners, brokers, lenders, title companies and others can communicate and share documents. Although the demo is residentially oriented, the application is equally appropriate for commercial professionals. This is the kind of interaction that the Internet can facilitate. Taubman Centers, a REIT specializing in regional shopping centers, offers general information on each property. RealNet Canada is an excellent service providing information on all commercial transactions over $1 million in the Greater Toronto Area. Chandler Online's new subscription-only site offers access to commercial sales and space available data for the Memphis market. 2. Upgrades... TriNet Corporate Realty Trust now offers specific information, including rent and lease terms for each of its triple net leased properties. Cadillac Fairview Corporation provides detailed space available information on all of its shopping center and office properties across Canada. Trerice Tosto, which offers commercial real estate services in Southeast Michigan, posts excellent space available information and market research. 3. Web Success... Rockwell International, based in California, needed office space in Florida's Tampa Bay area. Using the World Wide Web, the real estate department found Colliers Arnold's web site, reviewed the market information, read the professional resumes, selected a broker and eventually leased a 9,000-square foot office. 4. Banners... Market Area and Toolkit Banners get "clicked through" 10-30% of the time. In other words, when people see the banner, they click it. Major markets are viewed between 50 and 150 times a month. Consider a banner for your market. You'll be one click away from a tenant or investor needing services. 5. Four and Five-Star Graphics... I've posted small graphic images signifying four and five-star rated sites at PikeNet. If you would like to post one at your site please copy from the file at: http://www.pikenet.com/banners.html. 6. PikeNet Changes... Two new Toolkits have been added: Houston and Phoenix. If you have suggestions for additional links in either market, I would welcome them. I added two new PikeNet Categories-- Auctions and Flex/Industrial. The latter will be created from records in the Office/Industrial Category. 7. Subscribing/Canceling...
