1. WEB SUCCESS. RREEF has raised the bar for asset managers and pension fund advisors by launching its beautifully designed new web site. For consultants and brokers, you'll find information on its investment performance, acquisition criteria and properties for sale. Clients will have private access to reports on the performance of their portfolios property-by-property.

Wylie Greig, Partner in Charge of Research, has created an attractive map that predicts job growth and economic activity across the U.S. This graphical representation of economic trends demonstrates the web's ability to effectively communicate complex information to clients and the public alike. You'll find the map by clicking "Wylie's Map" on REEF's home page.

2. NEW AND NOTABLE. AmeriCrest.Com, a new listing service for San Diego with Houston next, features an attractive and flexible property search interface. The Pepperdine University Real Estate Department takes a very entrepreneurial approach to the use of CRTs (Charitable Remainder Trusts) and offers a variety of properties for sale at its web site. The Stevens Group provides commercial real estate services for the Greater Boston suburban market. Freddie Mac purchases and packages mortgages for sale as securities nationwide in the U.S. Witten Commercial offers commercial real estate brokerage in Branford, Connecticut.

3. E-MAIL OOPS. . "E-mail is going to be as important to business as the telephone." Andrew Farkas, CEO of the Insignia Financial Group, New York Times, February 23, 1997. Insignia has an e-mail system for "all 9,200 people in the company." However, Insignia's web site, which was added to PikeNet this week, only contains one e-mail address. Oops.
